Writing 8K stereoscopic 3D video requires immense sustained bandwidth. To ensure frame drops never occur, each of the six individual fisheye lenses writes its uncompressed stream up to 120Mbps onto its own dedicated MicroSD card. The seventh full-size SD card records spatial Ambisonic audio and the real-time proxy files needed for no-stitch Adobe Premiere Pro editing.
How does the CrystalView player render 8K content on 4K headsets and phones? +
Most mobile phones and standalone VR headsets cannot decode a full spherical 8K video stream. CrystalView converts the final 8K video into a segmented sphere structure. The player dynamically renders only the specific field of view the viewer is looking at in full 8K detail, adapting instantly as the user moves their head without taxing the device hardware.
